Trade Sales Administrator

Department: Trade Sales & Marketing

Branch: East Kilbride, Glasgow

Duties include:

  • Processing Customer Orders fully to Invoice stage
  • Handling Customer Calls both Incoming and Outgoing
  • Processing Quotations
  • Dealing with Retail Customers in Person
  • Responding to Customers Enquiries via telephone, website and emails
  • Inputting new products on our websites
  • An element of Stock Control

Skills Required:

  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills both Verbal and Written
  • Accuracy is essential
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a busy and noisy office environment
  • Must have experience of working within a team
  • Flexibility – Each day brings new challenges
  • People Focus is an essential part of the role, the ability to build rewarding relationships with both Customers and Suppliers
  • Problem Solving Skills
  • Previous experience of a sales environment would be valuable

Personality:

Organised and well presented, keen for new experiences, must easily adapt to new procedures and systems and have a “can do” attitude. Willing to work in a very busy office with a lively team and constant customer enquiries. We are looking to find an individual who will be committed to MCD and looking forward to learning new skills.

Computer Skills:

Must be competent in using Microsoft Office, in particular, Word, Excel, Access and Power Point. Microsoft Outlook, Internet and Email used daily. MCD use the Access Dimensions and Service Manager systems but full training will be provided.

Credit Controller/Sales Ledger Administrator

Department: Finance & HR

Branch: East Kilbride, Glasgow

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for company credit control, providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

Hours Of Work:

Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm

Friday 8am to 4pm

DUTIES:

  • Main duty will involve credit control/debt collection on accounts up to £250k turnover pm
  • Process sales ledger transactions
  • Manage SL accounts including debt collection, Applying payment to the systemand dealing with allocations ,providing accurate and relevant paperwork to customers/suppliers and dealing with any queries which may arise.
  • Closing ledgers on a monthly/annual basis ensuring all information has been processed and reconciles.
  • Basic administration tasks such as filing, scanning, archiving, answering telephone calls
  • Dealing with  banking and petty cash.

Must be efficient, proactive and be able to work well under pressure. Good concentration, problem solving and customer service skills.

  • Specific Job Skills

Must understand the importance of confidentiality, accuracy and following guidelines to maintain a well structured department. Organised and able to meet deadlines. Must have experience and proven track record/results in credit control. Experience in Self-billing customer’s accounts would be an advantage but not necessary. 

  • Computer Skills

Must be adequate in using Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and outlook. Access Dimensions training will be given.

Gas Appliance Installation Engineers & Apprentices

Locations: Glasgow, Darlington, Warrington, Maidstone,

Contract: Full Time / Permanent

Important Qualifications for a GAS SAFE Qualified Installation Engineers Position

  1. A Can Do Positive Attitude
  2. Excellent Communication Skills
  3. ACS Qualifications (or equivalent)
  4. CCN1 - Essential Gas Safety Domestic
  5. CKR1 - Gas Cookers and Ranges
  6. Proof of prior / current Gas Safe Registration
  7. knowledge and experience to carry out a high standard of Integrated & Freestanding appliance Installations.
  8. A Service and Support commitment to ensure the company’s reputation is maintained
  9. You need to enjoy working as part of a team
  10. A Full Driving Licence is required as all installations will require driving to and from various locations covered by the branch
